Electrical equipment

Motor-core steel, conductors and components for motors, generators, switchgear and electrical assemblies — exported directly from China to India and other overseas markets.

The industry

Materials that carry flux, current and load

Electrical equipment combines three groups of material. Motor and generator cores are stacked from non-grain-oriented electrical steel laminations; windings, busbars and connections use copper or aluminum; and housings, enclosures and panels are usually formed from cold-rolled sheet.

Most buyers purchase to their own drawings and standards, so an enquiry is most useful when it states the grade or designation, the dimensions and the test documents required with delivery.
