What cold-rolled coil is
Cold-rolled (CR) coil starts as hot-rolled, pickled strip that is rolled again at room temperature to reduce its thickness. The cold reduction gives a more uniform thickness, a flatter strip and a smoother surface than hot-rolled coil.
Depending on the specification, coils can be supplied full-hard or annealed and temper-rolled, oiled or dry, with mill or trimmed edges. The exact grade, standard and dimensions are agreed for each enquiry.
